Federation Tank (Star Wars - Ep.1)

Ganhei este kit a 1 ano e meio atrás quando ainda me recuperava do meu acidente automobilístico, fazia parte de um lote de kits que uma pessoa doou ao Grupo GPC do qual faço parte, e assim ele veio para as minhas mãos. Como eu e minha família gostamos muito de Star Wars, este kit entrou na minha lista de montagem.

I won this kit a year and a half ago when I was still recovering from my car accident, it was part of a lot of kits that one person donated to the GPC Group of which I am a part, and so it came into my hands. As my family and I really enjoyed Star Wars, this kit came on my assembly list.

O kit é feito em plástico cinza, bem forte e grosso. A montagem do mesmo é fácil de ser feita, não necessitando de massa ou ajustes, assim focarei mais na pintura e desgastes do modelo.

The kit is made of gray plastic, very strong and thick. The assembly of the same is easy to be made, requiring no mass or adjustments, so I will focus more on the painting and wear of the model.

Após aplicar o primer preto, comecei com as cores mais claras, para depois pintar um marrom intermediário e finalmente um marrom avermelhado mais escuro. As mascaras de pintura foram feitas com fita adesiva. No canhão e no laser usei GunMetal.

After applying the primer black, I started with the lighter colors, then paint a brown intermediate and finally a darker reddish brown. The paint masks were made with masking tape. In the gun and laser I used GunMetal.

Queria retratar esse modelo como se estivesse acabado uma batalha, assim ele tem muitos desgastes e fuligem. Para faze-las utilizei a seguinte técnica: clareei a tinta base e fiz pequenas manchas onde queria os desgastes, depois pintei o interior dessas manchas com Dark Iron, deixando uma pequena margem que ficará parecendo um descascado.

I wanted to portray this model as if a battle had ended, so it has a lot of wear and tear and soot. To do them I used the following technique: I lightened the base paint and made small stains where I wanted the scuffs, then I painted the interior of these spots with Dark Iron, leaving a small margin that will look like a peeled.
